2015 Riverina Truck Show and Kids Convoy ended up on a beautiful 22 degrees with the convoy getting under way at 11:30 from Bomen Sale Yards. Down the main Street of Wagga Wagga the convoy was greeted with crowds of all ages, the smiles on the kids faces was just the best sight, listening to the air horns all the way to Apex Park Lake Albert was a magnificent sound. From the faces being painted, amusement rides, to the awesome bands playing, giving of the trophies to the truck drivers/owners (they take so much pride in their trucks), turned out to be a fantastic day had by all ages. Can't forget the Market stalls and Trade stalls there to sell their great products.
The aim was for everyone to have a great day and to raise as much as we could for Wagga Base Hospital Childrens Ward, Snowy Hydro Southcare Helicopter, Trans-Help Foundation and Camp Quality. With the help of De Roberts, Kate Roberts, Lesley Wheeler and volunteers from Kooringal High School, Wagga High School, Mini Car Club, Mighty Yak, Convicts, Deja Groove, Yahni & Tiana, Riverina Party Hire, Forest Hill Fire Brigade and Printer Wizard we were able to raise $28,380.00. Winners of the trophies, donated by Royan Wagga are:
